The Texas Tomcats entered into tonight's game on a four-game losing streak while the North Texas Copperheads came into the game with a four-game winning streak. Both of those were ended tonight as the Tomcats beat the Copperheads 9-2 at Veterans Memorial Park in Weimar in game two of the three-game series. The Copperheads got on the board in the top of the first inning on a two-run homerun by Jason Krizan off of Tomat's starting pitcher Tony Manville. Manville then posted six straight innings of shutout baseall to get the win as the Tomcats scored nine unanswered runs. Tomcat's shortstop Brock Hebert lead off the bottom of the first inning with a solo homerun of his own and finished the night 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Jake Fuller added a two-run homerun in the fourth inning. The Tomcats and Copperheads will play game three of the series tomorrow night starting at 7:05pm.
