The Texas Tomcats received a steller pitching performance from Zach Oates as well as plenty of run support by the Tomcats offense as the Tomcats beat the North Texas Copperheads 12-3 in the thrid game of a three-game series. The Tomcats won for the second time in two nights to win the series two games to one. Oates pitched seven innings, only giving up two runs on five hits while striking out six batters. The Tomcats offense was paced by first baseman Casey Grayson who went 4-for-4 on the night with two doubles. The Tomcats move to 6-8 on the season as the Copperheads fall to 6-7. The Tomcats and Copperheads will face off again tomorrow night, this time at the Copperheads home field in Coppell. Game time is 7:00pm.
