The Texas Tomcats beat the North Texas Copperheads for the thrid straight night, this time on the road, by a final score of 6-2. The Teams were tied 1-1 going into the sixth inning when the Tomcats blew the game open with five runs in the top of the inning. Jason West was solid on the mound for the Tomcats in his first start of the season, going seven innings while only giving up one run on five hits. West struck out seven Copperheads on the night in route to his second win of the season. The Tomcats will return home tomorrow (Sunday) night to host the Victoria Generals starting at 7:05pm.
