COPPELL PITCHERS STRIKE OUT 15 IN SHUTOUT WIN

James Russell, Aaron Brown and Joseph Krebs combined on a five-hitter with 15 strikeouts as Coppell blanked Highland Park, 1-0, on Tuesday at the Snake Pit in Coppell.
Russell struck out eight in six innings to earn the win. Brown went two innings, striking out five, and Krebs got the save by striking out two in the ninth.
Coppell (6-1) scored the game’s only run when Chris Williams’ sacrifice fly scored John Infante in the sixth inning. Infante, who had two of Coppell’s three hits, singled to lead off the inning and advanced on an error.
Richard Manuel was the losing pitcher despite allowing only the unearned run and two hits in six innings for Highland Park (2-5).

Mineral Wells 10, Graham 3: At Pratt Field in Mineral Wells, Parker Dalton homered and drove in four runs as the Steam utilized an eight-run seventh inning to win.
Stephen Bradshaw and Jay Brossman added two RBIs apiece for Mineral Wells (4-5). Brett Lester got the win with two innings of shutout relief.
Steve Ptak homered twice and drove in all three runs for Graham (2-5). Justin Colbert added a pair of hits. Josh Forrester struck out seven and allowed only one hit in five innings before the bullpen imploded.

McKinney 11, Euless 0: At The Parks at Texas Star in Euless, winning pitcher Austin Creps, Brett Robinson and Ryan Mosher combined on a five-hitter in a McKinney victory.
The Marshals (3-4) scored seven consecutive batters as they sent 11 hitters to the plate in the fifth inning. Scott Gaffney, C.J. Ebarb, Matt Cavagnaro and Trey Rachal had RBIs before Brandon Glover capped the rally with a two-run double.
Jason Diaz and Matt Lambeth had two hits apiece for Euless (3-4).

Denton 3, Weatherford 2: Brian McBryde's two-out single in the bottom of the 9th inning gave the host Outlaws a 3-2 win over the Wranglers. Denton scored single runs in the 3rd and 5th innings and took a 2-0 lead into the 9th, when Robbie Winn blasted a 2-run homer to tie the game. Denton starter Blake Kronkosky pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in his first TCL appearance. Kyle Hollander allowed the homer to Winn but earned the victory. Shawn Ferguson was the loser for the Wranglers, whose top pitching performance came from freshman Russell Young, one unearned run in 3 innings.
