The Texas Tomcats defeated the Victoria Generals 9-7 on Monday night. The two teams will now meet in the first round of the 2010 TCL playoffs. The Victoria Generals secured the #1 overall seed on Sunday night by beating the McKinney Marshals. That means the Generals and #4 seed Tomcats will meet in the opening round. Game one of the series will be played on Tuesday night in Weimar at 7:05pm at Veterans Memorial Park. It's Free Ticket Tuesday courtesy of M-G, Inc. and the Youens and Duchicela Clinic of Weimar. That means free admission for all fans that night for the first home playoff game in Texas Tomcat's history. Game two of the series will be played on Wednesday night in Victoria at Riverside Stadium at 7:05pm. If a game three is necessary, that game will be played in Victoria on Thursday night. The winner of the series will move on to the 2010 TCL Championship Series to face the winner of the other divisional series matchup. That series will be the #2 seed East Texas Pump Jacks versus the #3 seed Brazos Valley Bombers. The championship series is scheduled to begin on Friday night.
